IOWA FAIR MIDWEST CHALLENGE TO NOBLE

Des Moines, Iowa (August 15, 2000)– Forty-seven modifeds signed-in Tuesday night at the Iowa State Fair Speedway for the Midwest Challenge as part of a big racing night at the Fair. Mark Noble won the feature and qualified for the Mr. Midwest modified event as part of the Driver’s Dream Race over Labor Day weekend.

Joe Kosiski passed Scott Megonigle on the third lap for the lead in the feature. John Logue, who started 12th, and Mark Noble, who started fifth, started chasing Kosiski by lap six. Logue passed Kosiski on lap 13 and Noble passed him on lap 14. Noble challenged Logue with Logue crashing on lap 17 with the lead going to Kelly Shyrock and second to Noble.

On the restart lap, Noble passed Shyrock and was able to fend off his challenge to receive the checkered flag first. Shyrock finished second with Ron Jones third and Tim Donlinger fourth.
