PARKISON AND ANDERSON AT STUART SPEEDWAY

The third time worked as the Stuart Speedway opened the 1999 season after
weather cancelled the first two nights.

Rex Parkison moved his IMCA modified carefully through the field from his
fifth row starting position in the 20 lap feature. He claimed, and kept,
the lead following a restart on lap 16. Early leader Terry Pruitt finished
second.

In the feature for IMCA stock cars, Bryan Nevins took the early lead from the
pole. On lap three, Jeff Anderson passed Nevins and lead the rest of the
race with Steve Jackson finishing second.

Each feature for IMCA hobby stocks was won by a leader who led green flag to
checkered flag for the victory. Bill Bonnett won the first feature with Eric
Knutsen second. The second hobby stock feature was won Jimmie Gustin with
Ben Hoesing second.

Cliff Barber led all but the first lap in the 12 lap dwarf car feature. Bob
Morgan finished second.

The cruiser feature was won by Rick Roberts and Christy Ganoe of Stuart

Racing continues in all classes next Sunday with gates opening at 4:30 P.M.,
hot laps at 6:15, and competition at 7:00.
