SCHEUERMANN AND INMAN REPEAT AT STUART SPEEDWAY

Stuart, Iowa (April 30, 2000) - Rod Scheuermann and Todd Inman took

advantage of front row starting positions and a tacky track to capture

repeat victories in their IMCA modified and IMCA stock car respectively on

Sunday night at the Stuart Speedway. With an apparent rainstorm coming, the

program was run in record time with the checkered for cruiser winners

Partlow and Sackett flying at 8:15 pm. Cliff Barber won his second dwarf car

feature and Don Wear was the IMCA hobby stock winner.

In the IMCA modified feature, Scheuermann led all 20 laps of the feature.

Joe College started in tenth and moved steadily through the field and

finished second ahead of Bob Bowman and Ron Bash.

In the IMCA stock car feature, Todd Inman and Mike Todd ran first and second

for all 15 laps. Steve Jackson finished third from his 10th place starting

position with Ron Godwin in fourth.

Gale Hevelone took the early lead in the dwarf car feature as Cliff Barber

moved forward from the sixth row. A crash on the ninth lap took out

Hevelone and three others with Barber inheriting the lead. Barber finished

ahead of Scott Bailey, Mike Morrill, and Rick Dennis.

Don Wear moved his IMCA hobby stock into the lead and would not relinquish

it. He took the checkered ahead of Randy Embrey, who moved from the 12th

starting place. Dave McDonald was third and Kerry Hayes fourth.

Racing continues in all classes next Sunday with gates opening at 4:30 P.M.,

hot laps at 6:15, followed by racing competition. The track phone is
