STUART NAPA WIN TO ELLIOTT

Stuart, Iowa -- The traveling NAPA Winner Series for IMCA Sonoco Stock Cars 
returned to the Stuart Speedway Tuesday and Mark Elliott took home the 
trophy.  The 25-lap feature started with Joe college setting the pace 
followed first by Elliott, and then by David Cirksena.  On lap eight, 
Cirksena's car broke in turn one and brought out the yellow flag.

On the restart, College and Elliott touched lightly in turn four as Elliott 
captured the lead.  College left the race with a flat tire.  The race 
continued straight through to the checkered with Elliott besting Ed Anderson, 
Denny Stoneburner, and Steve Jackson.

The hobby stock main was won by Brett Smith with Don Wear second, Mike 
Albertson third, and Randy Embrey fourth.

Bob Morgan won the dwarf feature follwed by Rick Dennis, Cliff Barber, and Ed 
Zehm.

KSOM radio "Big Country at 96.5" in Atlantic broadcasted from the track and 
helped to sponsor the event.

Racing continues in all classes next Sunday with gates opening at 4:30 P.M., 
hot laps at 6:15, and competition at 7:00.
