RAIN HITS STUART SPEEDWAY – DOUBLE FEATURES NEXT WEEK

Dark clouds had been approaching and then heavy rains hit the Stuart Speedway Sunday night just as the checkered flag was thrown for the last heat on the program. Next Sunday’s program will begin at 6:30 pm with make-up features from tonight and then a full program of heats and features.
Sunday was the first night of a new program to help racers deal with the high cost of gasoline. Driver’s who tow over 25 miles to race at Stuart will receive a $20.00 gift certificate for gas. Promoter Mick Trier says, "We’ve had lots of racers say the high cost of fuel is keeping them from competing. This is a way we can help them race."
